HubHub in Prague now hosts more than 50 companies. Only few offices in Palác ARA remaining.28.11.2019
Only last few free spaces remain in the Prague coworking space HubHub Palác ARA, in a handful of offices. The building filled up in a mere couple of months since the opening in June. The second, older branch HubHub Na Příkopě 14 has already been almost fully occupied since last autumn.
The cause for the rapid rise in occupancy is both the success of companies which choose HubHub as their working space, as well as the influx of new members. Among others HubHub hosts the R&D team of the Czech branch of Raiffeisenbank, the Czech team of the global media company Viacom International Media Networks and since November also StartupYard, the oldest private accelerator in central and eastern Europe. Altogether you can find more than 50 companies in both of the branches.
The first HubHub coworking space appeared in Prague last summer in the Na Příkopě street. The capacity has almost filled up in a short span of 6 months. This spring HubHub added a whole new floor to this older branch. In June HubHub then opened up a new branch in the newly reconstructed Palác ARA at Jungmannovo náměstí, which is 5 floors high and is able to host more than 350 people on the 2700 m2 of space available. Even there you can now get few last remaining spaces.
“We are happy that there is such an interest in becoming a member of HubHub. Even though the amount of free space is dwindling, we still welcome new startups, innovative projects and tech companies. New available spaces pop up from time to time, especially when the startups outgrow the coworking space,” says Vít Řezníček, Brand & Marketing manager of HubHub. He also added: “It’s clear to me that there is and will be interest in coworking spaces in Prague. I’d say that the next year might end up being the year of coworking”.
The newest member of HubHub Palác ARA is StartupYard, one of the most important Czech accelerators.
“HubHub appealed to us not only with its location in the heart of Prague, but also by the connection to the interesting community of members. To be in the center of all that is happening in the world of startups is a big plus for an accelerator.” says Cedric Maloux, CEO of StartupYard.
One of the main reasons for the rising membership in HubHub is the flexibility of the space, which allows for growth of current members. For example, the Czech branch of the startup Pipedrive has expanded from one person to a team of 20 since its arrival at the end of last summer.
