About the role

We are looking for a talented and passionate Events Manager. This full-time position will report directly to the Country Manager and will allow for the individual to be a part of the most innovative space in the country. The role will allow for the individual to help establish new event strategy; plan, coordinate and execute events and budgets to create and maintain a strong community. HubHub allows for the individual to get to know the local startup and corporate ecosystem, create a lifelong network and work with a team of young professionals with passion for entrepreneurship and collaboration.

The Events Manager will support the Country Manager to achieve the following:

• Working with Marketing, Business Development and Community Managers to create, run, and analyze community events, events on key and events with partners
• Managing end to end event strategy from creation of the strategy, to budgeting, operations and execution.
• Understanding the audiences to create valuable events to promote and maintain strong community

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop event plan strategy aligned with the vision of HubHub
• Per strategy, deliver activities program such as conferences, workshops, seminars, exhibitions, etc. for HubHub
• Seek and secure partners, speakers, sponsors for events
• Deliver and coordinate details of events on time, within budget, that meet expectations
• Manage and create event budgets
• Manage staff responsible for event coordination activities
• Drive attendance to the event in cooperation with brand manager
• Analyze event performance
• Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with our partners and ties in the community
• Communicate the philosophy of HubHub events program and explain the parameters for hosting events at HubHub
• Participate in training new HubHub members
• Conduct various administrative tasks as appropriate/necessary

Experience and Requirements

• Prior experience in Events management is a must
• Consistently calm, clear-headed leadership in high pressure situations
• Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues
• Highly creative, able to formulate a unique vision and flawlessly execute the vision
• Keen attention to detail along with strong organizational and project management skills
• Knowledge of cutting-edge production technology
• Passion for startups and entrepreneurial communities
• Proficiency in English and Slovak language is a must
• Ability to work well in teams and individually
